The Brotherhood of Steel is coming to Fallout 76, lore be damned, and Bethesda is sharing a new video detailing what the Steel Dawn update will bring to Appalachia. The Brotherhood is one of my favorite parts of Fallout lore, so the retcon doesn't bother me personally one bit. Starfield still feels light-years away. Bethesda Game Studios’ first original IP since 1994’s Elder Scrolls: Arena, Starfield was first announced by studio head Todd Howard at E3 2018.

Deathloop is an innovative first person shooter launching for PlayStation 5 and PC from Arkane Lyon, the award-winning studio behind the critically acclaimed Dishonored franchise. The studio's new IP will continue Arkane's signature gameplay design, challenging gamers to play their own way. As Colt, players are trapped in a time loop on the enigmatic island of Blackreef, doomed to repeat the same day for eternity. The only chance for escape is to break the loop by unearthing information and assassinating eight key targets before the day resets. However, lurking in the shadows is rival assassin Julianna, equipped with her own equally powerful abilities and weapons, on a mission to protect the loop by assassinating Colt, and restarting the cycle. Players can also choose to take control of Julianna, turning Deathloop into a deadly game of hunter-vs-hunted.

ESO players have been able to visit some parts of the snowy country before, but it looks like the Nordic-inspired land will be a bigger focus for the MMO in the future.

The Elder Scrolls Online launched in 2014 for PC. After a rocky start, the MMO has found better success through a series of updates and expansions, including 2017’s Morrowind and 2018’s Summerset. The latest expansion, Elsweyr, launched in May. ESO is also available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The game has attracted over 11 million players.

The Elder Scrolls Online is one of the remaining successful MMOs, along with World of Warcraft and Final Fantasy XIV. Along with expansions, Bethesda releases smaller content updates for the game. It all keeps players engaged, and now we have an idea of Bethesda’s future plans for the title (although we don’t know if this Skyrim experience will be a full-blown expansion). More will be revealed on January 16.
