PUBG settings & visual for middle-end / low specs pc By keviN # Hello everyone, today I am going to give you some settings to boost up your computer performance to play PUBG as your pc might not be able to run it without lagging / stuttering. PUBG graphics settings have become weirdly important over time, as a combination of the game's somewhat shonky performance and, interestingly, the fact that you can gain a pretty clear competitive.
Going hungry to bed every night because you’re missing out on your chicken dinners? Well, don’t call yourself a noob yet because in some cases, “it’s not you, it’s the PC”. No matter how much you love PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, you must realize that the game needs to be optimized well for your computer. For gaming machines with low to mid-range specs, there are certain launch options you can do to run the game smoothly.

Launch Options On PC
If you are experiencing frequent FPS drops (which is killing you every time), bashing your keyboard won’t help. Instead, you need to try fixing a few launch options. Below are a few settings which can help you run PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds smoothly.
It’s important to note that while all these options are useful, it’s not a universal solution and you may try experimenting with different launch settings to come up with your best fit.
- -refresh 60
This will change the refresh rate of your monitor; however, you need to set according to the refresh rate of your monitor. To find out the refresh rate of your monitor, follow the simple steps below (For windows 10 Users):
Step-1: Right-Click on Your Desktop and click on Display settings.
Step-2: Scroll down on the Window to Find the Advanced Settings.
Step-3: Note Down your Monitor’s Refresh Rate (Mine is 60Hz, so I set -refresh 60).
- -maxMem=30000
This command sets the allocation for the maximum RAM size that will be used to run PUBG. Depending on the size of your RAM, you can allocate different sizes.
Set -MaxMem according to the amount of RAM on your Computer
For 16GB RAM -maxMem=13000
For 12GB RAM -maxMem=11264
For 8GB RAM -maxMem=7168
- -malloc=system
This configuration lets your operating system decide how much memory it needs to allocate to PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds.
Ping Config Cmd
- -USEALLAVAILABLECORES
As the name suggests, this command unleashes the full power of your processor and unlocks all available cores in your computer for the game.
- -sm4
If you want to run PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds on DirectX 10 instead of DirectX 11, you can use this command. You will lose out on graphics but will get better performance.
Applying The Launch Options On Steam
To set the launch options on Steam, you will need to follow these steps:
- Go to your Programs Directory and Open Steam
- Find PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds in the library and right-click on it.
- Click on properties from the drop-down.
- Find the General Tab and click on the button marked “Set Launch Options”
- A launch options field should open up where you will use your own inputs to set the command, the final product should look like the image below (varying only in the value of the inputs):
- Press ‘OK’ and launch the game.
