Blender is free to use for any purpose. It is a cross-platform and runs equally well, available for Windows (7, 8, 10), Mac OS X 10.12 and above, and Linux. Blender 2.76b is the last supported release for Windows XP. It features an internal file system that can pack multiple scenes into a single file called a “.blend” file. A wide variety of import / export scripts that extend Blender capabilities make it possible to inter-operate with other 3D tools.

Blender is similar as you start usually with a cube which is then re sized and pushed and pulled via 'cut loop and slide' function. A bit like molding clay. As an example a velociraptor on utube took about 6 hours to complete, And that's from cube to animation. And that's from some guy who knew what he was doing. Really great plugin for Blender! I was looking for an alternative for Marvelous Designer and this plugin does that really good. When I asked if it is possible to create cloth objects, such as bags, Alexander (the developer) responded blazingly fast and immediately came up with a small tutorial on how to create it.
